Tioforio "Ralph" Galletto, age 84, of Amberg, Wis., passed away Monday, December 18, 2006, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1922, in Ossining, New York, son of the late Gabriel and Veronica (Fuschini) Galletto.
After school, Ralph worked for CC Camps and the railroad. He moved to Chicago where he met his wife, Maude Pearl Ozborn. They lived in many areas and finally settled in Markham, Ill. Ralph attended Devry Institute and graduated with a two year degree in electronics. He was employed by Sherwin Williams Chemical Co. in Chicago for over 25 years. While at Sherwin Williams, he became a Union Steward and later a Foreman, retiring in 1976. After retiring, they moved to Amberg, and he has resided there since. Ralph enjoyed fishing, bowling, and horseshoes and was an avid reader.
Survivors include four sons, James Louis Galletto, Anaheim Hills, Calif., Michael John Galletto, Amberg, Wis., Robert Gabriel (Irene) Galletto, Ill., Anthony Ralph (Josephine Anita) Galletto, Liberty Hill, TX.; one daughter, Alyce Eileen (James) Bava; two brothers, Luigino (Linda) Galletto, Pawling, N.Y., Gabriel (Laura) Galletto, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two sisters, Irene (George) Lambert, Ft. Valley Geona, Fla., Lucia Veteran, Lake Winola, Pa.; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Marie Chiulli.
Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2006, 9:30 am – 11:00 am, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 at the church, Father Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Amberg Cemetery in the spring.
