Thomas Lee Phillips, 55, of Crystal Falls, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born April 10, 1956, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Thomas F. and Eleanor (Orley) Phillips. On May 22, 1998, in Crystal Falls, he married the former Anita Mattson.
Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was a steel worker in Illinois for many years and after coming to Crystal Falls worked at Connor Sports Flooring in Amasa.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Phillips, Crystal Falls; two sons, Kyle Phillips, Tenn., John Forshey, Crystal Falls; one brother, Terry Phillips; two grandchildren, Taylor Hawks, Halo Rodriguez; other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Chance Forshey.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Micheal Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. The East Side Veterans Council will conduct a Pass-In-Review ceremony 12:45 p.m., at the funeral home.
