Thomas W. Packman, age 79, died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Dickinson Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. He was born February 16, 1927 in Minnesota son of the late Thomas W. and Gertrude (Brede) Packman. Tom was an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include two sons, Michael Packman, Rochester, Minn.; James (Ginger) Packman, Naples, Fla.; three daughters, Carol Becker, Naples, Barbara (Matt) Olson, Rochester, Susan (Terry) Pursley, Stewartville, Minn.; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Packman, Florida, Robert Packman, Lake City, Minn., and one sister, Margie Wendland, Florida. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn. The Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is serving the family.
