Thomas E. Meyer, age 75, of Niagara, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Dickinson County Healthcare System of Iron Mountain.
He was born August 6, 1929, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of the late Arthur and Olga (Polzin) Meyer. He grew up in Appleton and graduated from Appleton West High School. Thomas moved to Chicago and worked for Kenndal Company Data Processing. He joined the US Army and served during the Korean War. On August 21, 1970, Thomas married Donna Seymour in Chicago, Illinois. They lived in Chicago for awhile then moved to Appleton, WI, where he was a supervisor of data processing for Humana Insurance. After his retirement they moved to Niagara in 1993. He loved to cook and garden. Thomas was the Daily News Cook Off winner several times. He enjoyed football and the Green Bay Packers and also Chicago Cubs baseball games.
Survivors include his wife Donna and one sister Sharon (Harold) Pasch of Appleton, WI.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Meyer and a sister Joyce Williams.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2005, from 4 -8p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 8:00p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate.
