Thomas A. Bartolameolli, 58, Kingsford, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on April 20, 1949, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Adolph and Hilka (Hamari) Bartolameolli. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1967 graduate of Kingsford High School. One of the best times of Tom's life was attending his 40th class reunion this past summer. Over the years Tom worked for Loia Distributing, Bacco Construction, Khoury Inc. and Montgomery Wards. Tom also attended Northern Michigan University where he received his Janitorial Certificate. Prior to his illness, he worked part-time at the Pine Grove Country Club.
Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He also enjoyed watching football and rooting for the Packer. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to meet and socialize with his friends at B's Café, the Phoenix Center, and Famer's Restaurant. He loved animals and was especially fond of his family dogs, Cali and Ginger. He was a kind-hearted, gentle, loving person who will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Tom is survived by, three sisters, Gloria (Tom) Burlo, Breitung Township, Mich., Carol Bartolameolli, Kingsford, and Mary Beth (Dan) Bezotte, Kingsford; one niece, Angela (Dan) Shogren; one nephew, Christopher Bezotte. He also leaves behind several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 15, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor David Wilton will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
Pallbearers will be Dan Bezotte, Tom Burlo, Wayne Makela, John Wickman, Darryl Wickman, and Larry Bartolameolli.
