Theresa Virginia Nawn, 49, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain.
She was born January 23, 1961, in Marshall, Mich., daughter of Robert and Ellen (Seltenright) Flynn. Theresa grew up in Manistique and graduated from Manistique High School, Class of 1979. She married Joseph Nawn January 19, 1996, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Manistique. They resided in Niagara for the past fourteen years.
Theresa attended Bay de Noc Community College, where she received her nursing degree in 1994. After receiving her degree, she worked at Marquette Medical Clinic, Kingsford.
Theresa was very active in her community; she was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara, where she taught CCD and RCIA, which was her passion. She was also a member of the prayer shawl ministry and was involved in the Relay for Life-Survivors of Cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Nawn, Niagara; three daughters, Lacey Schnurer, Green Bay, Wis.; Katlyn and Sarah Nawn, at home; her parents, Ellen and Robert Flynn, Manistique, Mich.; two sisters, Barbara (Mark) Annelin, Cooks, Mich., Elizabeth (Tom) Gudwer, Perkins, Mich.; six brothers, Matthew (Kris) Flynn, Skandia, Mich., Martin Flynn, currently attending the Seminary in Milwaukee, David (Holly) Flynn, Gladstone, Mich., Mark Flynn, Robert (Michelle) Flynn, both of Manistique, Michael (Bobbi) Flynn, New Frankin, Wis.; many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank C. and Verna Nawn.
Theresa's six brothers, Matthew, Martin, David, Mark, Robert, and Michael will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 8, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
