Theresa A. Hermanson, 88, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, Sept 19, 2014, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls.
She was born June 14, 1926, in Watton, Mich., daughter of the late Samuel and Mathilda (Ketola) Maki. Theresa grew up in Watton and attended school there.
At a young age she went to work on her family's farm. Theresa married John Hermanson and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1999. She was an active member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran church, Gibb City Road, Iron River, Mich.
Theresa enjoyed working in her yard, being outdoors and was a marvelous cook.
She is survived by two sons, James (JoAnn) Waldo, Crystal Falls and Allen "Butch" (Sherry) Hermanson, Arizona; one Brother, Edsel Maki, Iron River, Mich.; one Sister, Vera Maki, Watton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband John, Theresa was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Waldo and Johnny Hermanson; 3 brothers; 3 sisters and her grandson Nicky Waldo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, Gibb City Road, Iron River. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Chas Prusi will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Theresa's Legacy of Life.
