Theresa (Carlotto) Anderson, 97, Crystal Falls, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born April 24, 1916, in Crystal Falls daughter of the late Giuseppe and Regina (Orlando) Carlotto. She was one of seven children. On August 3, 1937, she married Reino Anderson in Crystal Falls. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1988. Theresa was a life-long resident of Crystal Falls and attended local schools. After high school, Theresa worked for what is now known as the Iron County Medical Care Facility; after marrying Reino she worked for the Bristol Mine doing the daily laundry. During the early 1960's, Theresa and Reino owned and operated the Crystal Drive-In and sold that in 1964. In 1970, Theresa began working for the Michigan State Highway Department where she retired in 1981. Survivors include, her four children, Helen (Jim) Meyer, Rockwood, Tennessee, Richard (Josephine) Anderson, Haines City, Florida, William (Geri) Anderson, Kingsford, Susan (Richard) Salo, Crystal Falls; eight grandchildren, Jean (Nick) LaChapelle, Janet (Steve) Ross, Tim Anderson, Laura Ouellette, Daniel Anderson, Kim Kowalkowski, Dean (Suzi) Anderson, William Anderson Jr; sixteen great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Colton LaChapelle, Kiel (Heather) Ross, Ashley (Grant) Siegler, Tiana Anderson, Sam, Olivia and Ian Anderson, Casi Wolf, Tori and Brandon Kowalkowski, Colin and Emily Anderson, Hannah and Hayden Anderson, Jenna Ouellette; five great-great-grandchildren, Hailee and Evelynn Siegler, Landon, Devynn and Ashlynn Ross; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson, Kingsford, and brother-in-law William Stewert of Kissimmee, Florida. Along with her parents, Giuseppe and Regina Carlotto, and her husband Reino, Theresa was preceded in death by, her step-father, Peter Consalaro; sisters, Louise Slivensky, Amelia Black; step-sisters, Caroline Johndro, Mary Stewart, Rose Beebe; brother, Geno Carlotto; and step-brother, Peter Consalaro Jr. Theresa, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother will be deeply missed by all. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. Rev. Jeffrey Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. Serving as pallbearers will be, Dean Anderson, Daniel Anderson, William Anderson Jr., Steve Ross, Nick LaChappelle, and Brandon Kowalkowski.
