Theodore Anthony Getchell, age 95, of Lake Tomahawk, Wisc. died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the home of his sister, Agnes Richardson in Lake Tomahawk. He was born September 3, 1909 in Fond Du Lac, Wisc., son of the late Wesson and Catherine (Brown) Getchell. Ted was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army, infantry. He was a retired plant worker at Wells Manufacturing. Ted enjoyed a good smoke from his pipe, telling stories, engaging in conversation and being with his family, friends and neighbors. Survivors include his sister, Agnes M. Richardson, Lake Tomahawk and two nieces, Debra Henning, Lake Tomahawk, and Suzanne Pierce, Chicago, Ill. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2005 at Empire Cemetery, Empire Township, Wisconsin. The Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, Wisc. is in charge of arrangements.
