Crystal Falls: Thelma J. Newman, age 85, of Crystal Falls, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility. Thelma was born in Dayton, MI, to the late Elmer and May Stoner. She is survived by two sons; Fred Newman and Paul Wright, and five daughters; Sharon (Newman)Medford, Karen and Pearl Newman, Pam Berner and Betty (Newman) Burnett. She lived in Petoskey, Michigan from many years, before she came here to live with her daughter Betty Burnett. Private family services will be held at the Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana. The family is being serviced by the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls later date. The Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls is serving the family.
