Obituary

Terry Gene Berger, 52, of Iron Mountain, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain. He was born March 9, 1956, in Appleton, Wisconsin, son of Eugene Berger and Laverne Berger. Terry attended Kingsford High School. After high school, he moved to Loveland, Colo., where he worked as a roofer, fabricator, and painter. He returned to Iron Mountain in 2005 and worked as a mechanic, roofer, welder, and painter. Terry enjoyed many hobbies including, hunting, fishing, listening to music, and going to camp. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Terry was a charter member of the Sons of the American Legion, Iron Mountain Chapter. He was an avid Lion and Patriot fan. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; father, Eugene, Iron Mountain; mother, Laverne Berger- Maes, Hyland Nursing Home; one brother, Anthony (Missy) Berger, Kingsford; two sisters, Lucinda Berger Kasten, Kingsford, Lyn Stebbins, Kingsford; three nephews, Kenneth (Natalie Harper) Kasten, Jr., Cory Kasten, Michael Stebbins; his brother-in-law and good friend, Kenneth Kasten Sr., Appleton, Wis.; uncle, Bob Cayo; Kingsford; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Terry was preceded in death by his godfather, Jack Cayo and his godmother, Helen Trudell. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2008, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The memorial service will be held Friday, 4:00 PM, at the funeral home. Fr. Dan Zaloga will officiate. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held at the Uren-Cooper American Legion Hall, Iron Mountain.
