Teresa A. Schwei, 85, of Iron Mountain, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009, at Manorcare Health Services, Kingsford, Mich. Teresa was born September 12, 1923, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Arcadio and Emma (Tenaglia) Branz. She attended the Pine Creek School. On June 15, 1946, Teresa married Joseph Schwei at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Teresa was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Teresa was an excellent homemaker; she enjoyed cooking, canning foods and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Theresa will be sadly missed by her husband and family, as well as many friends. She is survived by her husband Joseph, Iron Mountain; two sons, Stephen, Iron Mountain, Lawrence, Ypsilanti, Mich.; one brother, Paul (Kathy) Branz, Iron Mountain; one sister Mary Corozolla, Norway; one sister-in-law, Barbara Branz, Iron Mountain; numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Branz, in 2007, and Eugene Branz, in 2008. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate. Burial will in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
