Obituary

Terence "Terry" Crowley, 83, of Goodman, Wis., passed away peacefully Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Maryhill Manor, Niagara, Wis. He was born January 31, 1931, in Macwahoc, ME., son of the late James and Laura (Pratt) Crowley. Terry graduated from East Hartford High School, Class of 1948. He graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.and went on to receive a Master's in Education from Central Connecticut State University. Terry met his wife, Gloria Mountain, in Hartford and they were married July 16, 1955, in Dexter, ME. She preceded him in death in 2011. He was a public school teacher in Connecticut and later a public school administrator in many school districts in New England and the Midwest. In addition to his long career in public education, Terry enjoyed sports, golf and gardening, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and his cat. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the time of the Korean War. He is survived by four children; Kevin (Sharon) Crowley, Goodman, Kathleen (Tom) Cavitt, Sun Prairie, Wis., Tom Crowley, Goodman and Jennifer (Robert) Monteux, Waterville, ME; one brother, James Crowley, West Hartford, Conn.; four sisters, Madeline McGibbon, Beaverton, Ontario, Can., Patricia Jobes, East Hartford, Conn., Nancy Wilde, New Canaan, Conn. and Mary Crowley, Reading, VT; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Gloria, Terry was preceded in death by one son, Brian Crowley. In accordance with Terry's wishes, Graveside Services will be held Monday, July 21, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery, Goodman. Deacon Jerry Cross will officiate.
