SusanLee Anne Steber, 63, of Florence, Wis., passed away Monday, August 13, 2007, at her home. She was born October 9, 1943, daughter of the late Herbert and Phyllis (McCraw) Tennermann. She married Richard Steber on December 2, 1961, who preceded her in death on February 6, 1995. Susan worked at the Florence Post Office for 27 years, retiring in October 2003. She was a founding member and volunteered with the Florence Rescue Squad for over 25 years. She also supported the American Red Cross, donating over 10 gallons of blood. Susan enjoyed "taking a ride" to the casino, reading, spending time at her cottage, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of traveling to Ireland. Susan is survived by five children, Wanda (Tom) Pontbriand, Rhinelander, Rob (Karen) Steber, Florence, Gail (Daniel) Donaldson, Florence, Miranda (Andrew) Smith, Grand Junction, Colo., Terry (Shannon) Steber, Florence; 12 grandchildren, Amanda (Brett) Aylesworth, Tyler Pontbriand, Logan Pontbriand, Nathan Steber, Jeremy (Megan & Devin Bieber) Donaldson, Alan Donaldson, Jordan Smith, Whitney Gregg, Randall Gregg, Richard Steber, Sidnie Steber, Hanna Zanon; her great-grandson, Caleb Donaldson; three sisters, JoAnne (Billy) Taff, MaryJane (Jack) Kilnes, Jackie (the late Bob) White; sister-in-law, Patti Tennermann; brother-in-law, Gary (Cindy) Steber; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herb Tennermann. Visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2007, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home of Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Saturday, August 18, 2007, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. Fr. Paul Koszarek will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis. Pall bearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy & Alan Donaldson, Tyler & Logan Pontbriand, Nathan Steber, and Randall Gregg.
