Iron Mountain- Susan M. Durocher, 62, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at the Christian Park Healthcare Center, Escanaba, Mich.

She was born April 6, 1960, in St. Joseph, Mich., daughter of the late Allen Schuster and Jean (Stephens) Mickelson. Susan grew up and graduated high school in Manistique, Mich. She met Timothy Durocher in a bar in Iron Mountain in the early 1990s, and they married a few years later. He preceded her in death.

Susan enjoyed competitive swimming as well as swimming in the local lakes, reading J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of The Rings, and belonged in the intermural volleyball leagues. She was known for her big heart and went the extra mile to take care of people.

Survivors include three sons, Peter (Melissa) Durocher and Joe and Luke Jackson; one brother, Stephen (Nancy) Schuster; one sister, Deborah (Jim) Harrington; and seven grandchildren.

In accordance with Susan's wishes, private family services will be held.
