Steven C. Fleming, 58, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at his home. He was born February 10, 1955, in Coldwater, Michigan, son of Clifford and Thelma (Osborn) Fleming. Steve graduated from Coldwater High School in 1973. While in high school, Steve was a talented student at the vocational center. He later took a position at Ferris Industries in Coldwater building campers and trailers. Steve married Teresa Corless on May 29, 1976, in Quincy, Michigan. He worked as a carpenter for 14 years and later took a position at the local lumberyard in Coldwater. Steve along with his wife moved to Aurora in 1990. While living in the area he worked at the Delta Do It Center in Kingsford until its closing, Hometowne Lumber from 2002-2012 and most recently at Kingsford True Value Hardware. Steve enjoyed the outdoors; he liked camping, singing and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa; his father, Clifford Fleming, Coldwater, Michigan; Step-mother, Marion Fleming; Coldwater; three sons, Nathan (Kristy Nelson) Fleming, Aurora, Aaron (Kelsey) Fleming, Spread Eagle, Matthew (Danielle) Fleming, Iron Mountain; four brothers, Bill Fleming, Coldwater, Michigan, Jack (Debbie) Fleming, Jackson, Michigan, Marty (Kathie) Fleming, Sagola, Michigan, Greg (Lisa) Fleming, Tekonsha, Michigan; one sister, Melinda (Micah) Fleming, Portland, Oregon; one brother-in-law, Scott (Martina) Corless, Germany and their children, Kelly Sue and Justin; seven grandchildren, Addison, Olivia, Jolie, Meira, Chloe, Taylor, Alizabeth; and one expected grandson arriving in November; four special nephews, Andrew (Christy), David (Sara), Sgt. Benjamin (Katie), and Lucas (Amber), and many other nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his mother Thelma and one nephew Thomas Scott Fleming. Visitation will be Saturday, September 7, 2013, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
