Niagara-Steven R. Butterfield, age 61, of Niagara, Wis., passed way Friday, October 26, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wis.
He was born February 27, 1957, in Kankakee, Illinois, son of William "Billy" and Nancy (Sims) Butterfield. Steven grew up in Niagara and was a graduate of Niagara High School, class of 1976. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1976 until his honorable discharge in 1984. Steven served in the Army Reserves from 1984 until he was discharged in 1988. He worked for a short time at Niagara Auto and had worked for 17 years at Khoury's Manufacturing.
Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, working on vehicles and small engine repair, and especially the time he spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include one son, Jeramiah(Amber) Butterfield, Kingsford, Mich.; two daughters, Jenia Butterfield, Iron Mountain, Mich., and Sabrina Butterfield, Kingsford, Mich.; seven brothers, David Butterfield, Gwinn, Mich., Brian (Robin) Butterfield, Ohio, Stephen (Chris) Butterfield, Oklahoma, Randy (Beverly) Butterfield, Green Bay, Wis., David (Deanna) Butterfield, Aurora, Wis., Billy Butterfield, Niagara, Wis. and Howard (Veronica) Butterfield, Niagara, Wis.; three sisters, Cindy (Keith) Annear, Quinnesec, Mich., Lori Walters, Neenah, Wis. and Christine Cazzola, Norway, Mich.; eight grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and special friend, Selena.
Steven was preceded in death by two nieces, Nicole Butterfield and Shelly Butterfield.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home-Niagara Chapel, Niagara, Wis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Ryan Flunker and Nancy LaFleur will concelebrate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara, Wis. The American Legion Cretton-Tutas Post #136 of Niagara and the American Legion Uren-Cooper-Johnson Post #50 of Iron Mountain, will accord military honors at graveside.
