Stanley A. Lang, age 95, of Amasa, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at his home.
He was born December 7, 1910, in Detroit, son of the late Albert and Marcella Lang. On June 17, 1944, he married Anna Pagel. She preceded him in death on August 10, 1998.
Stan attended school in Wisconsin. He started a family business in this area including logging and trucking. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and worked in the woods for 70 years.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Enola Lang and Audrey Heimerl, Amasa; 19 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2006, at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Doug Johnson, interim Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, Amasa, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hematite Cemetery, Amasa.
