Obituary

Stanley Jack James, 72, of Hubertus, Wis., and formerly of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, Wis. He was born July 26, 1937, in Crystal Falls, Mich., son of the late Rodney and Signie (Johnson) James. He married Janice Peterson on April 9, 1960, in Iron River, Mich. and they celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. Stan was a veteran of the United States Army and served from 1955 until honorably discharged in 1958. He was employed by Evinrude Motors in Milwaukee, Wis. for 33 years until retiring in 1995. Survivors include his wife, Janice James, Hubertus; one daughter, Linda (Tom) Tillmann, San Marcos, Calif.; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, and Zachary Tillmann; one great-granddaughter, Trinity Tillmann; two brothers, William James, Ishpeming, Mich., Irving James, Crystal Falls; one sister, Gennie (Walter) Polivka; and one sister-in-law, Christa James, Crystal Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clifford James. Visitation will be Monday, May 10, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rev. Stephen Rhoades will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls, with military rites accorded by the East Side Veterans Council.
