Crystal Falls: Signe Pierantoni, age 89, of Crystal Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. She was born September 12, 1914, in Alpha, Michigan, the daughter of the late Hjalmar and Mary Lehto. She attended the Crystal Falls Schools and graduated in 1933. She was a member of the Guardian Angels Church. On November 30, 1940, she married Ralph (Coco) Pierantoni at Saint James Church in Highwood, Illinois. They made their home in Highwood for several years, moving to the Swan Lake area upon retirement. Ralph preceded her in death on September 4, 1991. She enjoyed her home on Swan Lake and liked to go out and eat with her family. She also liked to travel to Florida and Las Vegas. Her hobbies were ceramics and arts and crafts. She loved her dogs and cats. Survivors include one brother, Towner (Agnes) Lehto of Crystal Falls. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Roberta Lehto, Glenn (Cindy) Lehto, David Lehto and Raymond Lehto all of Crystal Falls, Jerri (Chuck) Hardt of Flint, MI, Brian (Vicky) Hardt of Black Hawk, CO, Dale (Phyllis) Hardt of Omro, WI, and Richard (Linda) Bartoli of Colorado Springs, CO. There will be no visitation. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
