Shirley A. Mierzejewski, 87, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015, peacefully at her son-in-law's home in Pembine, Wis.

She was born December 27, 1927, in Niagara, daughter of the late John and Melvina (Larsch) Chartier.

Shirley grew up and attended school in Niagara. She married Edward Mierzejewski in 1944, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2005. They were lifelong residents of Niagara. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Shirley enjoyed cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Mierzejeweski, Montreal, Wis. and Richard Mierzejewski, Niagara; five daughters, Judy (Tom) Murray, Gladwin, Mich. , Jane (Norbert) Zentner, Green Bay, Wis., Karen (David) Rhodes, Pleasant View, Utah, Susan Langley, Bessemer, Ala. and Lori (Jeff) Tanko, Niagara; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by ten brothers, Joseph, Arthur, Harvey, Daniel, Raymond, Walter, Clayton, Floyd, George and John; three sisters, Betty Kallenbach, Luella Hohol and Marie White.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery, Niagara.
