Crystal Falls- Shirley G. Dahl, 98, of Crystal Falls, Mich., formerly of Amasa, Mich., passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, Mich.
She was born December 21, 1922, in Amasa, daughter of the late Norman and Sadie (Goard) Peryam. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Iron County and graduated from Amasa High School, class of 1940. She married Clifford A. Dahl on October 13, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Shirley worked at several jobs throughout the years, including the Amasa Co-op, the US Post Office, and Magiglide Corp., all in Amasa. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was active in the Ladies Aide.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Susan (William) Broad, Coon Rapids, Minn.; one son, Clifford (Carole) Dahl, Rhinelander, Wis.; five grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, and Owen (Mary) Dahl, and Melissa and Matthew (Sheri) Broad; four greatgrandchildren, Owen John and Lily Dahl, and Hunter and Amanda Broad; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Clifford, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Norman "Jim" Peryam, and two sisters, Doris L. Peryam and Leah Casagranda.
In accordance with Shirley's wishes, private family services will be held at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. Pastor Vicky Prewitt will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
