Kingsford-Shirley J. Cuyler, 88, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich. She was born September 11, 1931, in Bemidji, Minnesota, daughter of the late John and Anne (Carlson) Sunde. Shirley grew up in Bemidji and graduated from Bemidji High School. She married Wayne Cuyler on December 13, 1958 in Conway, South Carolina. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2014. After Wayne retired from the Air Force, he and Shirley moved to Felch, Mich. She worked as a secretary for various employers, retiring from CCI. Shirley enjoyed golfing in her younger years, bowling, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and especially spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Shriners and the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Randy) Dixon, Felch, Mich.; two grandchildren, Traci (Kevin) Alto and Misty (Micah) Richmond; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Logan Alto and Felicity and Ben Richmond; one sister, Darlene Dillon; and by a brother-in-law, Olin Bishop. In addition to her parents and husband, Wayne, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Delyle and Dale; and by four sisters, Dorothy, Alvina, Lorraine and Dottie.
