Obituary

Sherri Servais-LaBonte, 49, of Iron Mountain, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. She was born, June 21, 1964, in Spokane, Wash., daughter of Dennis and Mitzi (Bonfield) Servais. Sherri was raised on Hamilton Lakes in Vulcan, Mich. She graduated from Norway High School, Class of 1982. Sherri worked for the Iron Mountain Daily News; she married David LaBonte on June 15, 1991, in Norway at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They resided in Iron Mountain and she worked for the Dickinson County Friend of the Court Office. Sherri attended American Martyrs Catholic Church. She enjoyed ceramics, her flower garden, decorating for the holidays and especially spending time with her daughter, husband and loving family. Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, David; one daughter, Laurin LaBonte, Iron Mountain; her parents, Dennis and Mitzi Servais; Hamilton Lakes, Vulcan; one brother, Scott Servais, Kingsford, Mich.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her cats Cali Brown, Shadow Grey and Midnight. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Joseph Gouin will officiate. A memorial will be established in her memory.
