Sharon M. Griggs, 69, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. She was born May 10, 1942, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Jule and Marion (Anderson) DeGrave. Sharon attended American Martyrs School in Kingsford. She moved to Chicago, Ill., and worked there for a few years before returning to the Iron Mountain area. While living in Iron Mountain, Sharon babysat for numerous families over the years, before becoming a wonderful wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by her family, many friends, and all that knew her. She is survived by one son, Tim (Cheryl Doolittle) Griggs, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Tina (Paul Swanson) Griggs-Servais, Iron Mountain; two sisters, Marge DeGrave, Texas, Mary (Ron) Cook, Florence; two grandchildren, Chris Servais and Drake Griggs; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A special thanks to Aunt Dorothy Burkart of Iron Mountain and Aunt Marie Collins of Kingsford for their love and support. Along with her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Lorti. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Fr.
