Obituary

Shane R. Spade, 42, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013, in Niagara as a result of a traffic accident. He was born February 28, 1970, in Iron Mountain, Mich., son of Richard and Mary (Holmes) Spade. Shane graduated from Niagara High School. He married Niccole McCumber on August 30, 1996, in Crystal Falls, Mich. Shane worked as a heavy equipment operator most of his career and recently started working for Wausaukee Composites, Inc., as a puller. He enjoyed hunting, coyote calling, and especially spending time with his daughter, Skyler, who was the love of his life. He is survived by his wife, Niccole, Niagara; daughter, Skyler, Niagara; his parents, Richard and Mary Spade, Niagara; one brother, Scot "Skeeter" (Melissa) Spade, Niagara; paternal grandmother, Mabel Spade, Niagara; mother and father-in-law, Curt and Ruth McCumber; four sisters-in-law, Kristi (Jim) Bryner, Karen (Dan) Helms, Terri Brown, Tasha McCumber; three uncles, Gary (Kathy) Spade, Niagara, Greg (Susan) Holmes, Niagara, Worth (Shannon) Holmes, Menominee, Mich.; five aunts, Barb (Rick) Smith, Niagara, Beth Spade, Florence, Geraldine (Gary) Smith, Florence, Donna (Bruce) Osterberg, Niagara, Melody (Bob Freeman) Holmes, Norway; good friends, Christine Dollar, Tony and Tim McCarthy, Dave Dertz, Doug Lantange; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shane was preceded in death by three uncles, Bobby Spade, John Holton and Robert Holton. The visitation will be Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Andy Filizetti will officiate.
