Selma "Jackie" Pari, age 87, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at the Florence Villa Nursing Home, Florence, Wis.
She was born June 30, 1919, in Crystal Falls, Mich., daughter of the late Ivar and Hilma Maki. In 1937 she married Fabian Pari. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1989.
Selma attended school in Crystal Falls. She moved to Amasa, Mich. in 1937 where she lived all her married life and raised her family. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Amasa.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Herschel) Nantelle, Green Bay, Wis., Marla Kirkpatrick, Crystal Falls, Gregory Pari, Amasa; one sister, Mahaila Kilgren, Marion, Ind.; six grandchildren, Peter, Lynne, Marcy, Kristin, Shawn and Erin; four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Bill and Arvid Maki, and three sisters, Jennie Eckola, Laina Juslen and Hilda Salmi.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2006, at the Bethany Lutheran Church, Amasa. Rev. Fred Kinsey and Rev. Dr. Kim Beckmann will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
