Iron Mountain – Scott M. McWilliams, 62, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away at his home. He was born on May 11, 1957, in West Dundee, Ill. the son of Gilbert and Martha "Mitch" (Coligan) McWilliams. Scott grew up in Illinois and graduated from Dundee Community High School, class of 1975. He served in the U.S. Army and upon his honorable discharge returned to Illinois. He lived in Crystal Falls, South Dakota and Illinois before moving to Iron Mountain in 1988. Scott was a long-haul truck driver and worked for many transfer companies over 30 years, retiring in 2012. He was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors and especially time spent with his friends, family, and grandson. He is survived by one daughter Kelly (Scott) DeCremer; his mother Martha "Mitch" McWilliams, Crystal Lake, Ill.; two brothers Todd (Mary) McWilliams, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Mark McWilliams, Chicago, Ill.; one grandson Parker DeCremer. He was preceded in death by his father Gilbert McWilliams. In accordance with Scott's wishes intimate private family services were held.
