Sally J. Young French, 76, Crystal Falls, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, Michigan.
She was born December 19, 1931, in Stambaugh, Mich., daughter of the late William and Esther (Wickman) Young. On August 1, 1952, she married Wayne French in Evanston, Illinois.
Sally was raised in Stambaugh and graduated from Stambaugh High School. She attended the National College of Education in Evanston and received her Masters of Education degree from Texas A & M University. She taught special education in Texas for over 25 years. Following retirement she was the office manager for the family business - Harlingen Aero Center, a flying service, located in Harlingen, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne French, Crystal Falls; two daughters, Patti (Larry) Neblett, Sara (Pete) Martinez, both of Harlingen; one sister, Ann Johnson, Iron River, Mich.; one brother, George (Joan) Young, Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Randy) Cooke, Michelle Martinez, Tori Martinez; one aunt, Audrey Miatech, Harlingen; and three nieces, Sally (Jim) Sides, Jill (Curt) Poulos, and Cara (Kevin) Young Fuhr.

Private family memorial services were held. Burial will be in Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Tex.
