Obituary

RuthAnn Weber, 84, of Niagara, Wis., was called home on Thursday evening September 8, 2011, at Walnut Grove Assisted Living Center. The daughter of the late Ben and Vienna (Lepisto) Smithson was born July 13, 1927, in Alpha, Mich. She graduated from Alpha High School in 1945, and later attended beauty school. RuthAnn later worked at Mauck Insurance Agency as an agent for many years. She lived most of her life in Niagara, where she raised her seven children. Survivors include her children, Sally (Ken) Smits, Robert (Laurie) Weber, Thomas (Sherryl) Weber, Cleta (Bob Wurzer) Weber, Patrick (Debra) Weber, Michael (Rhonda) Weber, Donna (Paul) Chamberlain; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ben (Doris) Smithson; one sister, Rita Pozza; two sisters-in-law, Marge Smithson and Carolyn Smithson; her good friends, Beverly Fronsee , Cliff and Joanne Mauck. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Russell Smithson and Lyle Smithson, and one brother-in-law, Jack Pozza. Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Niagara. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon, Friday at the church. Rev. Peter Schuessler, SDS, will officiate.Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. Memorials can be made to Unity Hospice in RuthAnn's memory.
