Ruth M. Teichert, 62, of Florence, Wis., died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at her home, after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 29, 1945, in Fern, Wis. daughter of the late Orris and Eleanor (Thomas) McLain. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Florence High School in 1963. Ruth married Heinz Teichert in 1963. Ruth was employed at the Goodman Lumber Mill, Haberkorn's Super Market as a baker, and Pride Manufacturing. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Ruth enjoyed sewing, gardening, upholstery, woodworking, and bird watching. She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Troy) Sutherland, Florence, Nicole (Jim) Jones, Kingsford, Mich.; one son John (Lisa) Teichert, Crystal Falls, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Paige, Tyler, Zackary, Jordan, Sydney, Dylan, Alex; one brother, Gordon McLain, Fence, Wis.; two sisters, Linda Wolosyn, Union Grove, Wis., Lila Tibbs, Fence, Wis.; many nieces, nephews; special friend, Joyce Wolosyn; and her loving cat, Coco. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2008, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church, Florence. The funeral service will be Friday, 1:00 PM at the church. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Fence Cemetery, in the spring.
