Russell A. Pultz, 83, of Iron Mountain, Mich., formerly of Niagara, Wis., passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, following a courageous battle with cancer. Russell was born on February 2, 1924, in Florence, Wisconsin son of the late August and Anne (Christenson) Pultz. Russell attended the Florence Public School. He served in the Naval Air Core as a gunner during WWII. On August 10, 1946, he married the former Joyce Anderson in Niagara. They moved from Florence to Niagara in 1947 where they lived until 1998 when they moved to White Birch Park in Iron Mountain. Russell worked at the Niagara Paper Mill for nearly 40 years until he retired in 1987. He will be remembered for his strong love of family, his generosity, his steadfast work ethic and his friendly and fun-loving personality. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara. Russell is survived by his loving wife Joyce; two daughters, Carolyn (Bruce) LeBlanc and Chris (Tom) St.Louis, both of Kingsford, Mich.; one son, Dr. Bob Pultz of Niagara, Wis.; one sister, Mildred McGraw, Florence, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; Aimee (Todd) Bronson, Andy (Heather) LeBlanc, Kim St.Louis, Pat St.Louis, Paul St.Louis, Justin Pultz, Courtnee Pultz, Allexis Pultz, Brett Pultz, Dyllan Pultz; five great grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Dominic, Keilana, Lucas; and his beloved dog, Putzi. Besides his parents, Russell was preceded in death by, one son Dennis Pultz; one brother Bernard; and his grand daughter, McKenna Pultz Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Riverside United Methodist Church in Niagara, Wisconsin. The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. James Danielson will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
