Felch: Rose Raman, age 85, of Felch, Mich., passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wis. She was born January 20, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Peter and Pauline Kuzmiak. Rose grew up in Detroit and attended school there. She married Veto Raman in September of 1970. He preceded her in death in November of 1987. Rose along with her husband resided in Felch at Norway Lake from 1970 until 1990. She lived with her daughter Debbie from 1990 until a few years ago when she moved to Victorian Pines Assisted Living. Rose and Veto were avid polka dancers, she also enjoyed bingo, cooking, and especially spending time with her grandchildren who were the love of her life. Survivors include two daughters Patricia (Robert) Bishop, Phoenix, Ariz., Debra (David) Mattia, Felch, Mich.; a brother Peter (Irene) Kuzmiak, Wyandotte, Mich.; a sister Helen Sheko, Westland, Mich.; three grandchildren; Michele Bishop, Robert Bishop, Alexandra Mattia, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband Veto, Rose is preceded by one brother William K. Westley. Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2005, from 5 – 7p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited 9:30a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, September 30, 10:00a.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Fr. Dan Zaloga will officiate. Burial will be in Felch Cemetery.
