Crystal Falls:
Rose C. Brunelle, 100, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River, Mich.
She was born April 19, 1908, in Sagola, Mich, daughter of the late William and Mary (Plumber) Steele. Rose married William "Bud" Brunelle in Escanaba, Mich. He preceded her in death. She along with her husband Bud resided in Escanaba. While living there, Rose owned and operated her own dog kennel, pasty shop and adult foster home. After retiring, Rose moved to Crystal Falls in 2002. She will be sadly missed for her love of cooking, laughter, sense of humor and zest for people and life.
Rose is survived by one son, William "Glenn" (Dorothy) Brunelle, Missouri; grandchildren, Gene, Marjorie, Greg, Jon, and Danny Brunelle all of California and Missouri; Alice, David, Mike Martwik, Rose (Albert) Bortolini Hill, April and Jeremy Hill, Jerry (Annette), Shawn (Nikki), Jess (Ashley), Jill (Dean) Aberly, all of Crystal Falls; Jeff (Joy) Bortolini of Iron Mountain; Angelo (Jean), Angela (Mike), Scott (Theresa) Bortolini, Ray, Larry (Rebecca) Bortolini, and Theresa Lato all of Crystal Falls; and many more loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Eugene Thomas, one daughter, Alice Bortolini, and many brothers and sisters.

The Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, is serving the family.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2009, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls.
Funeral service will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Deacon Bernie Kut will officiate.
Burial will be in Gardens of Rest Memorial Park, Wells, Mich.
