Rosanne M. Freeman, 53, of Niagara, Wis., was taken away from the loving arms of her family on Monday, August 20, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital, Iron Mountain, Mich.
She was born August 26, 1953, in Iron Mountain daughter of Edward and the late Norma (VanPembrook) Provencher. Rosanne graduated from Niagara High School in 1972.
She married Morris Freeman on November 20, 1979, in Iron Mountain.
Rosanne worked at Maryhill Manor for nine years, until she married Morris. She later worked at Marcouiller's Grocery Store for a short time leaving in 2003, due to her health.
She enjoyed taking care of her family, carrying firewood to the house to keep the family warm, gardening, going for rides, cooking, she loved the family farm, and especially enjoyed her new grandson, C.J.
Rosanne is survived by her husband, Morris; one son, Charlie Freeman, Niagara; one daughter, Jane Freeman and her son C.J., Niagara; her father, Edward, Niagara; one brother, Joe (Lorraine) Provencher, Niagara; three sisters, Betty (Jim) Morin, Niagara, Mary (Dick) Vanlangendon, Green Bay, Wis., Pat (Larry) Cowling, Lanse, Mich; many nieces, nephews, and caring friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2007, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
