Iron Mountain-Ronald J. Pavlik, age 92, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich. Ron was born January 24, 1927, in Oconto Falls, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Nora (Barcome) Pavlik. He served in the United States Navy in WWII. Ron earned a bachelor's and master's degree in Spanish while attending the University of Wisconsin. Ron also attended the University of Michigan. He married Dorothy Reggettes in 1953; she preceded him in death on July 27, 2015. Ron taught at the high school level in both Stephenson and Bay City, Michigan and at the college level for Delta College, Michigan, UCLA and the University of New Mexico. He retired in 1982. Ron along with his wife Dorothy moved to Iron Mountain in 1988. For many years, Ron and Dorothy entertained locally as a piano-saxophone duo. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy, Ron was preceded in death by one sister, Leatrice. In accordance with Ron's wishes, private family services will be held.
