Ronald Bruce, 68, of Armstrong Creek, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born on February 1, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Bud and Lorraine (Letzter) Bruce. Ronald married Cheryl Wozniak on February 1, 1964, in Chicago. She survives. Ronald owned and operated Ron Bruce Trucking, Inc., for thirty-two years before retiring. He loved his '55 restored Chevy and proudly drove it around. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his boys and grandchildren, especially going to the cabin for hunting with his cousins and children. Ronald loved sitting on his porch in the springtime looking at his pond and watching birds. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Cheryl Bruce, Armstrong Creek; three sons, Ronald W. (Rose) Bruce, Jr., Armstrong Creek, David M. (Sharon) Bruce, Ocala, Fla., John E. (Candy) Bruce, Armstrong Creek; six grandchildren, Tasha, Michael, Christopher, Valerie, Samantha, Coty; cousins, George Petersen, Selma, Tex., William Peterson, Chicago; and siblings. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Community Center, Armstrong Creek. The funeral service will follow 5:00 p.m., at the community center. Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Fence Cemetery, Fence.
