Ronald D. Brandt, 56, of Crystal Falls, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at his home. He was born October 31, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., son of Roy and Jean (Niehoff) Brandt. Ronald grew up in Chicago and graduated there. He married Susan Flynn on October 16, 1989, in Milwaukee, Wis. Residing in Hanover Park, Ill., Ronald worked for Tempel Steel Company of Chicago for 34 years, retiring in 2011. After retiring, Ronald and Susan moved to Crystal Falls. Ronald enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Susan Brandt, Crystal Falls; one daughter-in-law, Emma Kerr, Hoffman Estates, Ill.; two brothers, Rick (Pam) Brandt, Chicago, Rusty (Judy) Brandt, Fla.; one sister, Lana (David) Smith, Hanover Park; one brother-in-law, Michael (Rosita) Flynn, Chicago; one sister-in-law, Patti Flynn, Crystal Falls; many nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Brandt; one son, Christopher Kerr in 2003; one daughter, Katelyn Brandt in 2007; and one brother, Randy Brandt.
