Obituary

Robert "Bob" M. Weber, 80, passed away Thursday, January 05, 2006, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 10, 1925, in Aurora, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Gerda (Roos) Weber. He married Geraldine Gothe on September 16, 1950. She survives. Bob loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He loved the outdoors, his daily walks in the woods, and making maple syrup every spring. He was the best tree planter around. He was a dairy farmer for 50 years, and a school bus driver for 45 years. Bob was also on the County Board for 12 years, the town board for 22 years and MI Milk Producers Association for 20 years. Survivors include his wife Gerri; four sons Robert (Jane) Weber, Walter (Tammy) Weber, Douglas (Barbara) Weber, and Daniel (Renee) Weber; one daughter Gerri Lynn (David) Krube, Minnesota; two brothers George (Delores) Weber and Edward (Betty) Weber; three sisters Doris Brown, Janet (Harry) Lucas, and Margaret (Ronald) Olson; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Jim Brown. Visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2006, from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Balsam Street Christian Church in Kingsford. Memorial Services will be Monday, January 9, 2006,11:00 a.m. at Balsam Street Christian Church. Pastor William Condray will officiate.
