Crystal Falls – Robert "Bob" J. Otto, Sr., 95, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital, Iron River, Mich.

He was born on March 23, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Charles and Esther (Clarin) Otto.

He was a graduate of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, Ill., class of 1944. He was united in marriage to Rose Kochinski on June 10, 1950, in Chicago, Ill.

He was a mechanical engineer and worked for thirty-five years with Danley Machine Corp. in Cicero, Ill. He retired in 1986 and later moved to Crystal Falls in 1991. He enjoyed mechanical work, and restoring machinery.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Audrey) Otto, Jr., and Roger (Susan) Otto; daughter, Roxanne Paschke, and Robin Lee Danko; brother, Marvin (Sandy) Otto; son-in-law, Phil Majewski; nine grandchildren, Megan O'Brien, Robert Otto, III, Ryan M. Hei, Courtney L. Otto, Kelly M. Otto, Kevin C. Otto, Gregory J. Majewski, Joshua M. Majewski, and Debra Chiavetta; nine great-grandchildren, Rose M. Otto, Ayla Otto, Ethany R. O'Brien, Jacqueline C. O'Brien, Nicholas D. O'Dell, Timothy M. O'Dell, Alex C. Chiavetta, Samatha M. Chiavetta, and Ashley M. Paschke.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Rose Otto; brothers, Charles Otto, and Ernest Otto; sister, Esther Young; grandson, Neil D. Paschke; and two great-grandchildren, Cynthia M. Otto, and Robert J. Otto, IV.
