Florence: Robert F. McNabb, age 81, formerly of Florence, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, November 20, 2006, at Evergreen Assisted Living in Kingsford, Michigan. Robert was born October 12, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Dora) McNabb. He married Viola Trudell in 1961, she preceded him in death in 2004. Robert served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. He lived in the Detroit area and worked for many years for the Detroit News. After retiring, he resided in the Detroit area until 1998 at which time he moved to Florence, Wisconsin. Robert was an avid reader. Robert is survived by two step sons, Fred (Kathy) Ashcraft and John (Mary) Ashcraft all of Lower Michigan. One brother, James (Helen) McNabb of Florida, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services were held. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Florence, Wisconsin.
