Robert J. (Bob) Linscott, 76, of Florence, Wis., passed away peacefully early September 30, 2007, at the Beverly Living Center, Florence. He was born January 22, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wis., son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Hogan) Linscott. Bob has resided in Florence since 1993 with his wifeof 53 years, Bernice (Burke) Linscott. The former Wauwatosa, Wis. resident was with much of his family in his final days. As owner and operator of Gilles Frozen Custard since 1942, he was known and respected throughout the community. Following his retirement he was fully involved in St. Mary's Parish of Florence, Wis., St. Vincent de Paul Society, Habitat for Humanity, AA prison ministry, and a multitude of other volunteer activities. Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Bernice; his children, Robert Jr. (Lynn), James (Linda), Thomas (Colleen), Helen, Michael (Beth), Mary Catherine; brother, John; sister, Mary Conarchery; 14 grandchildren; and a multitude of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret; brother, Brother James; son, Patrick; and daughter-in-law, Carla. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 4:00 pm Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Wauwatosa, Wis. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 7:00 pm Thursday, at St. Jude the Apostle Church. Burial will be Friday, October 5, 2007, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wis.
