Crystal Falls:
Robert V. Hilberg, age 51, of Chicagon Lake, died Friday, September 12, 2003, at the VA Medical Facility in Iron Mountain.
He was born in Stambaugh, Michigan, March 23, 1952, to George and Lucille (Thunander) Hilberg.
Robert graduated from Forest Park High School in 1971, and in 1972 enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. He was a self-employed Woods worker. Robert was a life long resident of the area, who enjoyed the outdoors. He was an excellent gardener, and liked to hunt and fish.
Robert is survived by his mother, Lucille (Richard) Tegge, a son David Hilberg, four brothers, Ronald (Diane) Hilberg, George (Patty) Hilberg, and Gary (Diane) Hilberg of Crystal Falls, and Bill (Rose) Hilberg of Escanaba, two sisters Jeanne (Mike) Ferraro of Traverse City and Sandra (Kenton) Pfister of Omaha, Nebraska, two step-brothers Richard (Bev) Tegge and Steve (Cathy) Tegge, one step-sister Linda Tegge and fourteen
Nieces and nephews.
Besides his father George, one brother Raymond preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2003, from 6 – 8 P.M. at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls, Michigan. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at 11:00A.M. at the Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in
Bates Township Cemetery.
