Channing – Robert "Bob" C. Herma, 84, of Channing, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center - Dickinson in Iron Mountain, Mich.

Robert was born on February 25, 1938, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Theodore and Violet Herma.

He graduated Tolleston High School, class of 1956. He married the love of his life, Jonnie Cristea, in Gary on December 20, 1964. Robert worked for twenty-two years as a Police Officer for the City of Gary and thirteen years as a Security Guard for US Steel.

Robert and Jonnie moved to Channing, Mich., in 1995, where he loved to spend time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and being on the pontoon boat.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Jonnie; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Theodore, Fred, and Richard; and a sister, Josephine Surillo.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, a private family service will be held.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Iron Mountain, Mich., to honor Bob's legacy of life.
