Iron Mountain-Robert W. "Bob" Fehrle, age 66, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.

He was born September 12, 1951, in Iron Mountain, son of Bertha Sparks-McDonald. Bob attended college in Escanaba, receiving his degree in accounting and business and had proudly served in the Unites States Army. On November 12, 2002, he was united in marriage to Christa Smith.

Bob worked as a machinist for Lakeshore for 17 years and had previously assisted with setup of the Credit Union and Trico. He enjoyed working around the house and building things, fishing, the outdoors, and competitive shooting where he had earned trophies. Most of all Bob loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Christa; three sons, Dean (Evelyn) Fehrle, North Carolina, and Austin (Kaela) Fehrle, Illinois and Troy (Iva) Mitchell; one daughter, Tracy Mitchell; his mother, Bertha McDonald; four sisters, Gidget (Ron) Nepper, Mary Fehrle, Patricia Anderson, and Noni (Ted) Heckart; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Thea, Cole, Samantha, Shaderack, Kendall, Nicole and Kade; and by many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by one son, Darwin Fehrle, June of 1989.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, private family services will be held.
