Obituary

Robert D. Brown, 71, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain. He was born on September 29, 1939, in Niagara, son of the late Clarence and Eleanor (Meyers) Brown. Bob attended Niagara schools and graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1957. He married Judith Outcalt on October 31, 1964, in Norway, Mich. They were lifelong residents of Niagara. Bob worked for the Niagara Paper Mill for a few years before going to work for the Marinette County Highway Department. He worked for Marinette County for twenty-one years, retiring in 1994. He was an Elder of the Niagara Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob loved sharing Bible truths with his friends and neighbors and will always be known for his positive wishes and thoughts to many people. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends. Bob is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Judy; one son, Andrew Brown, Houston, Tex.; three daughters Laura (Kevin) Bemis, Niagara, Susan Wolfe, Hurley, Wis., Liz (Chris) Carlson, Conover, Wis.; one brother, Ronald (Rose) Meyers, Sussex, Wis.; one sister, Marjorie (Roger) Cretton, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Michael, Molly, Jonah, Zeb, Ian, and Riley; one great-grandson, Dylan; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded by two brothers, Gene and Vernon Brown; and one sister, Mae Roubik. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Niagara. Services will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, Niagara. Ronn Gregor will preside. Memorials can be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, W7227 John's Road, Niagara, WI 54151.
