Ricky L. Foltz, 56, of Florence, Wis., passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain. He was born August 25, 1956, in Pontiac, Mich., son of Ellard Foltz of Marion, Ark., and Joyce (Wilson) Davis of Florence. Ricky served in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he settled in New England before moving to Florence in 1988. Ricky worked at Grede Foundry in Iron Mountain for over 20 years, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, deer hunting, taking care of his yard, gardening, bartending at JR's, and especially his cat, Fred. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Kurt Taff, Florence; two step-sons, Dan and Don Heim, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; one brother, Randall (Denise) Foltz, Florence; four sisters, Regina (Ronald) Minnick, Gladstone, Mich., Violet Dickinson, Big Lake, Alaska, Renee (Allen) Hagood, Fairbanks, Alaska, Margarette (Norberto) Garcia, Sheboygan, Wis.; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. The Florence VFW Post No. 3635 will accord military honors 5:50 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Douglas Johnson will officiate.
