Florence – Richard "Dick" Schuirmann, 90, of Florence, Wisc., passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Florence Health Services, Florence, Wisc.

Dick was born on February 7, 1934, in Homestead, Wisc., to the late Jake and Cleo (Hillman) Schuirmann.

He married the love of his life, Carole Cunningham, on August 7, 1953, in Iron Mountain, Mich. During their seventy-year marriage, they made their home for a number of years in Homestead before moving to Illinois and then returning to the Homestead and Florence area, where Dick was known for his garden.

He is survived by his loving wife of seventy-years, Carole Schuirmann; sons, Mark Schuirmann, and Scott Schuirmann; daughter, Trudi Guiliani; brother, Edward (Karen) Schuirmann; sister, Barbara Stayton; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis Schuirmann, and Neal Schuirmann; infant grandson, Todd Schuirmann; and his siblings.
