Richard V. Schneider, 60, of Niagara, Wis., passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Dickinson County Healthcare System, Iron Mountain, Mich.
He was born November 17, 1951, in Iron Mountain, son of the late James and Nettie (Hoglund) Schneider. Richard lived in Alaska when he was young, then moved to Green Bay, Wis., graduating from Southwest High School and then moving to Niagara. He married Barbara Puckett, April 19, 1986 in Iron Mountain.
Richard made his living as an owner/operator truck driver. He lived and breathed trucking. Richard also enjoyed hunting, playing cards and going to camp. He loved the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Erick Kivi, Gurnee, Ill.; two step-sons, Jon and Jeff LaBombarb, DePere, Wis.; one daughter, Aimee (Randy Butterfield) Schneider, Niagara; his special girls, Ashly Nelson and Jessica Wozniak, Niagara; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Schneider; good friends, Steve Wood, Kevin Kuhn, Bob Westman and Diane and Dave Stebbins.
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one daughter, Jaimee Schneider; one grandson, Ethan Schneider and one sister, Renaye Zepnick.
The visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. The memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
