Richard W. Klaus, 65, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at his home. He was born January 15, 1948, in Oak Park, Ill., son of the later Gustav and Evelyn (Harwig) Klaus. Richard married Regina Szram; she preceded him in death on July 10, 2011. He worked for Kodak Company as a manager in Oak Brook, Ill, until his retirement in 1998. He loved fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He is survived by one son, Erik Klaus, Crystal Falls; one brother, Gary Klaus, Broadview, Ill.; two sisters, Linda (Edward) Turner, Broadview and Christine (Dan) Reese, Broadview; one brother-in-law, Alex (Barbara) Szram; Lamont, Ill; one sister-in-law, Sophie(Zbignef) Kus; Ill. and many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Richard's wishes private family services were held. The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Richard's Legacy of Life.
